Early yesterday, an app claiming to be “Pokemon Yellow” briefly hit Apple’s iTunes store. Don’t get too excited though; the ‘app’ was nothing more than a splash screen which crashed upon pressing start. The App started making waves when it reached the number 3 spot on the ‘Paid Apps’ chart on iTunes, moving to number 2 before being pulled by the Big Apple.

With the oncoming release of Nobunaga’s Ambition to the DS, Pokemon Centers in Japan have began showcasing their goods in celebration. What you see on your left is Zekrom and Nobunaga’s Figurine, and on your right is Mitsuhide and Articuno’s Figurine.

These are only one of the goods released by Pokemon Centers, others include Handkerchiefs and Postcards, Cushions and Tumblers. Cushions and Tumblers are sold only at Pokemon Centers, the rest are released in certain stores in Japan.

Pokemon.com has officially released there information on the next upcoming TCG cards! Turns out that there bringing back the strongest of the strong, EX cards! The designs on the cards are great as well. It seems that Pokemon is still maintaining the same layout as there previous ultra rare cards they have made in the past. So far we only have information and pictures on Mewtwo, Shaymin, and Kyurem EX, but I have a feeling that there is more in store. Make the jump to check out more!

And it seems, that the Subsite for Nobunaga’s Ambition has been updated, with a lot more characters,gameplay mechanis, Bashou Leaders as well as their partner Pokemon. iOS developer Calis Projects is in the midst of rolling out its Pokemon-inspired RPG titled Zenforms. The premise is as follows:

“ZENFORMS: Protectors is a 2D RPG for iPhone and iPod Touch (it will also be playable on iPad). You are starting your first day at school to become a Protector, a trainer of ZENFORMS and keeper of the peace. As soon as you begin the game you can create your own look for your hero, or choose the default look for a boy or girl.”

Pokemon.co.jp revealed not one, but two Upcoming tournaments for Pokemon Black and White players. “International Challenge” is the third Wi-Fi Tournament, as well as it’s First International Tournament. This means any player can join in and battle Japanese players, as previous tournaments have either had a scarcity of Japanese Players with English games or vice-versa. The second tournament, “Japan Cup 2012 Spring” is exclusive to Japanese players, is a tournament held to gather top ranking players who will be participate in the Pokemon World Championships 2012 in Hawaii.
