Ahoy Pokemon Dungeon! Olivia here, I hope you are enjoying the warmer weather! Here in North America, it’s the beginning of the new-growth season called Spring; the perfect time of the year for all Grass-type Pokemon! Hit the jump for an appreciation post for all grass-type Pokemon.
Sweet-Smelling Facts About Grass-Type Pokemon
*As of Black 2 and White 2 there are 74 grass-type Pokemon. (76 if you count that silly Arceus and Rotom’s form change)
*There are currently 31 Pokemon that are pure grass-type and the other 43 are half grass-type.
*Bulbasaur is the first Grass-type, according to the National Pokedex. Bulbasaur was original only grass-type when the Pokemon Red and Blue were released, due to duel-type Pokemon not being added yet.

*Grass-types generally have balanced stats, but Sp. Attack is their specialty.
*Even though grass Pokemon are the 4th most common type there are only 3 master grass-type trainers. These Pokemon trainers include Leader Erika of Celadon City, Leader Gardenia of Eterna City and Leader Cilan of Striaton City.
*There are also only 3 Legendary grass Pokemon, which are Celebi, Shaymin and Virizion.
*5 grass-type Pokemon can change their forms without changing their type. These Pokemon include Cherrium, Shaymin, Wormadam, Deerling and Swasbuck.
*The 2 Pokemon that can turn themselves into grass-type are (lawn mower) Rotom and Arceus holding a Meadow Plate.
*Grass Pokemon are weak against Fire, Bug, Ice, Poison and Flying type moves.
*Grass Pokemon are strong against Water, Ground, and Rock type moves.
*The best grass move, in my opinion would probably be Frenzy Plant!

*Sudowoodo may look like a plant Pokemon, but don’t be fooled! This Pokemon is actually Rock-type and is sometimes confused as a Grass-type!
