Junichi Masuda’s Request! – Watch Pokemon SMASH!

Junichi Masuda – Game Director and one of the heads in GameFreak, was going around Pokemon Centers in Japan for a Q&A session. In one of the sessions, he was asked numerous amounts of questions, one of the most pestering questions(and is one of the one’s we have been waiting for) “What is the Sequel to Pokemon Black And White”. Masuda said:

Well, I can’t answer that yet, but be sure to watch the Next Pokemon Smash.

 

This, was rectified yet again, on his twitter account, where he told everyone to watch the next Pokemon Sunday about said announcement.

 

So what do we expect? Either one of the Following, Ruby-Sapphire-Emerald remakes, OR Gray. Or a pokemon game with a name we either did not expect. I think one of the two. Masuda-san’s Twitter has been flooded with asking questions about it. Be sure to check back here on Sunday(or Saturday) for the said announcement!

    Let it be a Ruby and Sapphire remake! They are some of my favorite games in the series and they deserve a remake! If not, I’m totally cool with Pokemon Gray.

    I agree with David, either a RS remake (with Battle Frontier perhaps) or Grey would be needed around this time.  Regardless of which one it is though, I hope it’s adapted for the 3DS as opposed to propping up the DS even further.

    Judging by the pattern the company goes through (new region, spin-off, remake, sequel, spin-off), the next game should be a remake or another spin-off. However, because of Pokepark 2, I think there is a STRONG chance of a remake of ruby and sapphire (not emerald because the sequels never have remakes)

    I’m hoping gray because I traded away almost all of my legendaries on Black and that way I can catch them again on gray :)
